Home Inspection Services

Home Inspection Defined:
The process by which an inspector visually examines the readily accessible systems and components of a home and which describes those systems and components in accordance with these Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

A home inspection can also be described as any of the following:

  • A field performance review
  • An evaluation of the physical condition of the home.
  • A visual inspection of readily accessible installed components.
  • Non-destructive and non-invasive
  • A sampling inspection.

Pre-Purchase Inspection (also known as) Buyer Inspection:
This service is for the purchaser/buyer of the property
Once the purchase agreement has been signed, the purchaser will usually have anywhere from 2-10 days to complete the property inspection. The purchaser of the property hires the inspector and the purchaser is encouraged to attend. Often, but not always, the purchaser’s agent and Sellers’ agent will be present.

Once the inspection is complete, the inspection report is submitted to the purchaser who may then choose to waive the inspection or consider other options if necessary.  It is best to discuss these options with your agent.


Quick-Sale Service (QSS):
This convenient service is available to the Home Seller

The Quick-Sale Service enables the Home Seller to have the home checked prior to listing the home for sale.  It provides an opportunity for the seller to find hidden defects before anyone else does.  There are many important advantages to this.

The WATCHDOG inspection:
The Inspection Professionals is proud to offer you this special service. 
Buying a newly built home is often both exhilarating and stressful.  How do you know that your new home is being given the proper care it deserves?  Did you know that a new home has, on average, at least seven defects? As your WATCHDOG inspectors, we will visit your new home at its critical stages of construction and monitor its progress.

This invaluable service is available to the homeowner who would like to learn more about their home and learn how the major systems of the home are functioning. This educational guided tour includes maintenance tips, ways to improve and prolong specific home components as well as a detailed report with maintenance schedule, material life cycles and replacement costs.


Warranty Inspections:
The Inspection Professionals will perform your new home One-year warranty inspection prior to the builder.  This is done when the home is eleven months old.  We will check all the major systems and components of the home and provide you a detailed report that will assist you when dealing with your builder.  Past clients have found this report to be an extremely useful and comforting tool to use when dealing with the builder.
